Facial Masks are a refreshing treat that will help you to clean your pores, condition your skin, and feed your skin. They can also be very beneficial in reducing any buildup of sluggish cells deep within your skin. Masks make the skin softer, healthier, smoother and taut. Most masks are also very effective in healing blemishes. They are easy to make at home with typical kitchen ingredients.
Dry Skin:
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon honey
1 tsp olive oil
Oily Skin:
1 tbs Plain Milk of Magnesia
Leave on until it dries and, rinse it off with lukewarm water.
For any skin type:
1tbs oatmeal
enough water to make a paste.
Most mask should be left on for no more than 15-20 minutes or until completely dry. Be sure to remember to apply to your neck and declote' since they also can benefit from this treatment. If you have leftover mask after your facial, it will keep in the refrigerator for up to a week.
After your facial mask, don't be surprise if your skin feels fresh and very soft. They gently refresh and exfoliate the skin, remove impurities, and reduce redness and swelling. If your skin is sensitive it may be best to test on a small patch of skin first to assess your skin's reaction. You may want to wait 24 hours to see if there is a reaction.
As you can see, facial mask do not have to be complicated and made with hard to find ingredients. Many people also enjoy making their own facial masks from common fruits like bananas, avocados, papaya and even pineapple. When you decide to make your own facial masks, you are certain to benefit from soft dewy skin as well as see the effects of it later down the road.
